On Friday, January 3, 2020, William "Bill" George Groome, at the age of 83, died peacefully with his beloved wife by his side at their Silver Spring, Maryland home. Born in Baltimore, MD on November 19, 1936, to the late Francis and Genevieve (nee Walters) Groome. Loving husband of Linda Lee (nee Bowles) Groome. Father of Kevin (Melissa) Groome of Nashville, TN, Robin Langley of Baltimore, MD, John (Shannon) Dorsey of Olney, MD, and Michael (Dawn) Dorsey of Orlando, FL. Grandfather of Ali, Alec, Cal, Braxton, Sophia, Madison, Emma, Sean, Daphne, Persephone, and Leif. Brother of Genevieve (Carroll) King of Charlottesville, VA.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, January 10, 2020, at the Aspen Hill Christian Church, 13501 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20906.
