Tony Akeem Uzzle, affectionately known as "Buddha," was born on April 4, 1986, in the beautiful city of Honolulu, Hawaii. He passed away on April 20, 2025, in Germantown, Maryland, surrounded by memories of laughter and love that he left behind.
Tony was a beacon of joy in the lives of many, known for his funny and warm-hearted nature. He had an extraordinary ability to uplift everyone's spirits with his jokes, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His presence was a source of comfort and happiness, making him beloved by family and friends alike.
One of Tony's proudest accomplishments was his role as an amazing father to his cherished daughter, Charli. The bond they shared was profound, marked by countless adventures and moments that would warm the coldest of hearts. Whether they were enjoying a trip together. Each experience was a treasured chapter in their story. Those who knew him could see the absolute joy in his eyes when he was with her, a testament to the love he carried.
His interests were varied and vibrant; whether he was engaging in spirited video games with friends or immersing himself in the excitement of sports, Tony found joy in every moment. His laughter would echo in the rooms filled with family and friends, especially during those shared gatherings where his charisma truly shined.
Family was everything to Tony, and he cherished every opportunity to connect with his loved ones. He is survived by his daughter, Charli, devoted mother, Regina R. Rivers; his father, Tony Uzzle, his sister, Angelina Uzzle, his sister, Juliesa Hall, and her husband, Cameron Hall (brother-in-law); as well as his beloved nieces, Ramsie and Amara, multiple cousins that he dearly loved and cherished especially Oshea (sister from another mister), aunts, uncles and his closest friends. Their hearts are forever intertwined with his memories, holding close the laughter, love, and lessons that he imparted.
Tony was also preceded in death by his adored grandmother, Julia Rivers; his grandfather, Thomas Moore "Greg"; and his grandmother, Lena Uzzle. Their spirits will surely embrace him in peace as he joins them in the realm of everlasting love.
A visitation to celebrate Tony’s life will be held on April 25, 2025, from 1:00 PM until the start of funeral service at 3:00 pm at the Thibadeau Mortuary Chapel, 124 E Diamond Ave., Gaithersburg, Maryland. It will be a time for family and friends to gather, share stories, and find solace in the shared memories of a man who brightened the lives of so many.
As we say goodbye to Tony Akeem Uzzle, we honor a life well-lived, one filled with laughter, love, and unwavering support for those he held dear. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten, living on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
