Richard Henry LaLumondier

Richard H. “Dick” LaLumondier, 82, of Gaithersburg, MD; died February 13, 2025 at Adventist Healthcare Shady Grove Hospital. He is survived by his sister Cynthia LaLumondier Douglas ; nieces and nephews Lisa Noelner, Mark LaLumondier, Kimberly Perryman, Samantha Blackwell; and friends Matthew Bruffey, Thomas Welsh, Angel Daniel Martinez Medena, and others.

Mr. LaLumondier was preceded in death by his husband John Joseph Marston; his brother Donald Lalumondier, his sister Susan A. Perryman and his niece Josette “Jodi” Hynes .

Raised in St. Louis, MO; he is the son of the late Adam Dona LaLumondier and Corinne Wagner LaLumondier. He graduated with a Masters of Science in Chemistry from Southern Illinois University. He later moved to Gaithersburg, MD with John Marston. He had a long career as an environmental scientist working for a trade association. A lifelong lover of music, he composed many original works, and performed as a church organist and choir director for numerous churches. He was an entrepreneur with a variety of interests and engaged life with boldness and boundless energy. Richard was an intelligent, engaging conversationalist and loyal friend. He will be missed.
