Peggy Ruth Koenig

June 20, 1953 - November 17, 2025

Peggy R. Koenig, 72, of Frederick, passed away on November 17, 2025.Born on June 20, 1953, in Bethesda, MD, to Anna and Charles Nestor, she graduated from Rockville High School in Rockville, MD, in 1973. Peggy was married to her late husband, Kenneth, for 40 years. 

Peggy worked several jobs throughout her life and could fix anything and everything in the most creative ways. She made friends everywhere she went and could get along with everyone she encountered. She loved her critters, gardening, mowing the lawn, Snoopy, and most of all, God, her friends, and family. 

Peggy is survived by her three wonderful daughters: Sarah Myers, Kelly Koenig, and Samantha Koenig; Grandson Mason Myers; sons-in-laws TJ Myers and Kyle Mayer (her "Honey-In-Laws"); sisters Polly (Doug) Haynes and Lois Kinder; brothers Phil (Linda) Nestor, Steve Kinder, and Jim (Grace Sooklal) Kinder, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sisters Helen, Marty, and Mary. 

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Journey's Crossing Church in Germantown, MD. Please honor Peggy by wearing your favorite Peanuts Snoopy shirt and jeans. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Journey's Crossing Church in her memory.
