Nelly C. Benites

On Thursday, September 10, 2020 Nelly C. (nee Chiriboga) Benites age 92 died peacefully at the Village at Rockville, MD. Born on January 13, 1928 in Chincha Ica, Peru to the late Juan Miguel Chiriboga and Eva Maria Sotomayor. Having earned a bachelor's degree, she was employed as a university librarian, and also co-owner of a bookstore in Peru. . She was also the personal assistant of the wife of the former President of Peru. She is survived by her daughter Rosana Benites of Gaithersburg, MD, and her son Michel Benites, also of Gaithersburg, MD. She was predeceased by her long time partner Luis Benites (2017). She will be missed by both family and friends. On Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 10:30 am a Graveside Service will take place at All Souls Cemetery,11401 Brink Road Germantown, MD 20876, with interment to follow.
