Kevin passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Kevin was born in Springfield, Ohio but lived most of his life in Montgomery Village, Maryland.
Kevin was quietly kind and compassionate. Kevin drove a Montgomery County Ride-On bus and was thoughtful about the riders he met. He saw the best in people and readily offered help to anyone in need. Kevin was also a commercial house painter.
He thoroughly enjoyed the music of the Beatles and many other artists of the 60’s and after. Kevin attended outdoor concerts in a 60’s VW bug with a sunroof that allowed for excellent viewing. As a youngster, he even lived in the tiny village of Woodstock, NY (years before the festival). Kevin liked to travel. One year he traveled with his extended family to the mountains of Switzerland
Kevin worked hard but worried hard. Health concerns, both physical and emotional, became increasingly difficult in his later years. He loved his cat Beans who provided comfort and cuddles.
Kevin was predeceased by his parents Holly Hopewell and Robert Alan Meyer. He is survived by his sister Penelope Evans-Meyer (James Evans), brother Clark Meyer (Jodie) and nieces Emily Evans, Heidi Evans (Avery Bowron), Cara Meyer and Anna Meyer (William Hardt).
He will be missed by family and friends.
There will be a small family gathering in Kevin’s memory.
