Don Franklin King, Sr., age 79, of Waldorf, Maryland, passed away peacefully at Holy Cross Germantown Hospital on May 15, 2024.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shahla; sister, Dorothy; three stepchildren; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ethel; brothers Harold, Chesley, Ken, and Paul; first wife, Tina; daughter, Danielle; and son, Todd.

Don was a hardworking man who was known for his generosity, integrity, and dedication to his family. He also had a mischievous side and could always make you laugh with tales of his troublemaking.

Don grew up in Clay, West Virginia and attended Clay County High School. He went on to work at various Maryland car dealerships while living in Prince George's County, Maryland. He later purchased Leonardtown Service Station, which he operated for nearly two decades.

A celebration of Don's life will be held on May 26 from 1-5pm at 2788 Old Washington Rd, Waldorf MD.
