On Monday, April 8, 2024, Christopher Edward Hooks, age 50, of Germantown, MD, passed away after a brave and brief battle with colon cancer. He was born on September 23, 1973, at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD, to his loving parents Margaret (nee Bryant) Hooks and the late Wiley Edward Hooks.

Christopher dedicated his life to educating and inspiring young minds. He earned his bachelor’s degree and served as a Physical Education teacher for 30 years in elementary schools within Prince George's County, Maryland Public Schools. Christopher's passion for sports extended beyond the classroom; he was an avid fan of basketball and football. He enjoyed watching his favorite television and sports programs and above all spending time with his friends.

He is survived by his devoted mother, Margaret Hooks of Germantown, MD, and step-mother, Cynthia O’Brien (Neil Spicer) of St. Petersburg, FL. Christopher was previously predeceased by his dear sister Mary Katharine Hooks of Germantown, MD.
