Juliana Ada Onyejekwe, beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away on August 2, 1962, at Shady Grove Hospital. She was born on July 25, 1962, in Lagos, Nigeria, to Eleweke and Caroline Onyejekwe.
A woman of exceptional intellect and quiet strength, Juliana pursued her academic passions with distinction, earning undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in English, Law, and Diplomacy. Her commitment to learning reflected the depth of her curiosity and the seriousness with which she approached her place in the world.
Juliana was preceded in death by her father, Eleweke Onyejekwe, and her brother, Christian Nwachukwu. She is survived by her devoted mother, Caroline Onyejekwe; her adoring brothers Chike, Kelechukwu, Okezie, Site, and Daniel; her sisters‑in‑law Ami, Namosha, and Bridgette; and her cherished niece, Nkechi, and nephew,Chukwudiebube,Destiny.
She embodied dignity, kindness, perseverance, and grace—qualities that shaped her relationships and left a lasting imprint on all who knew her. Juliana was a devout member of Grace United Methodist Church in Gaithersburg, Maryland, where her faith was both a source of strength and a reflection of her generous spirit.
A memorial service celebrating her life and legacy will be held at Grace United Methodist Church. Her family and loved ones take comfort in knowing that her light endures in the lives she touched and the love she shared.
