Sandra Romaine Simpson

On Sunday December 12th 2021 Sandra Simpson of Frederick Maryland passed away. Sandra was born on April 11th, 1947 to Horace and Helen Gambrell. Sandra will always be remembered as a caring daughter to her parents, a devoted wife to her husband David Tyrone Simpson, Sr until his passing on July 22nd, 2014. She was a believer in the Faith and teachings of Jesus Christ. She was a devoted mother to her son David T Simpson, II. In her passing she leaves behind a brother (Horace Gambrell) whom she will always love, as well as her many sister in laws Donna Gambrell, Gina and Vicki Simpson, Crystal Royster, Sharon Gibson, and Denise Gambrell. She will also be missed by many of her nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Sandra was a thirty plus year employee of the US Government, with a majority of her time being an analyst for the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity. Her kind heart and caring nature made her want to fight for equal rights for all people, which is why for a time she was the President of her union with over eight thousand members. After 30 years of service she retired in 2001, to support her husband’s dream to start a family business.

Besides her career, Sandra loved to talk, preach, and worship God. For twenty plus years Sandra would Evangelize any time she was able or asked. To teach and preach the Gospel of Christ was her favorite pastime and life’s greatest honor. Sandra strongly believed in the love and charity that Christ taught and that would be a guiding light that she followed up until her passing. She will be known in this life and the next as someone who was ready to pray for friends, family, and strangers at a moments notice

While her physical presence is no longer with us, the impact of her love will carry on for many more generations in the lives of the people she touched.
