On Thursday, May 2, 2024 Reina del Carmen Ponce, age 44 died far too soon at her residence in Gaithersburg, MD. Born on January 31, 1980 in El Salvador to Cristobal Alberto Ramos Ventura and Francisca Concepcion Ponce. Having completed her high school education, she came to the United States seven years ago. She was employed as a cashier in the food industry. She loved to cook, and treated family and friends to many fine meals.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her grandmother, Jesus Ponce in El Salvador. Beloved mother of Nilson Ramos Ponce and Karen Ramos Ponce, both of Gaithersburg. Devoted sister of Marcial Alfaro Ponce and Griselda Ponce of Gaithersburg. She is also survived by nieces and nephews: Moises Franco Ponce, Darwen Ponce, Kevin Ponce and Kricia Alfaro of Gaithersburg, and Grisel Ponce of El Salvador. She will also be greatly missed by her boyfriend Jesus Alberto Ramos Ventura of Gaithersburg. She will be missed by the many other friends and family whose lives she touched.

On Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm a Visitation will take place at Thibadeau Mortuary Service Chapel 124 East Diamond Avenue Gaithersburg, MD 20877. A Service will follow immediately from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Interment will take place at a later date in El Salvador.
