Kenneth Edward Spoon

On Wednesday, May 12, 2021 Kenneth Edward Spoon, age 79 of Damascus, MD died peacefully at Casey House Hospice of Rockville, MD. Born on May 9. 1942 in Knoxville, TN to Willard and Dorothy (nee Monday) Spoon. Having completed his education, he was a long time employee of the Knoxville News Sentinel. He was also one of the original owner/operators of Academy Ballroom Knoxville. Devoted husband of Betsy Anne Riley. He is also survived by his sister Lorene Goodlin (Joe), two nieces, his children Jeff Spoon (Kristy), Michael Spoon, and Deborah Jeffries. He will be missed by his four grandchildren and his four great-grandchildren (with a 5th on the way). Services and interment at Lynch-Bethel Cemetery, Knoxville, TN.
