Felicidad Guerrero Willis

March 1, 1943 — January 18, 2024

Felicidad "Feli" Guerrero Sanchez Willis, 80, of Gaithersburg, MD, passed away suddenly on January 18, 2024. Feli was born in Granadilla, Caceres, Spain on March 1, 1943, to Paulino Guerrero Domininguez and Margarita Sanchez Garcia.

Feli married Richard Willis in 1972 after losing her husband, Walter “Woody” Woods, in war. Richard and Feli were married for 51 years. Together they raised three children: Margie, Irene, and Jennifer. Richard and Feli lived all over the United States: Virginia Beach, Virginia, Honolulu, Hawaii, San Diego, California, and they settled in Gaithersburg, Maryland in 1982.

Feli, "Abuela" enjoyed supporting and cheering for her beloved grandchildren Jake, Jonathan, Bella, and Andrew on any sports sideline and visiting with Wounded Warriors and Red Cross Volunteers at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center at the Chow Hall. Abuela and Richard "Pop Pop" enjoyed many vacations to Hawaii, Spain, and Mexico. She loved driving her Hummer with her grandkids while blasting Pit Bull on the radio to and from school and sports events, Turkish novelas on Univision and, most of all, having peace.

In addition to her husband Richard, Feli is survived by her two daughters; Margie Lazzaro and Irene Brodsky and son Eric Willis, her four grandchildren; Jake Brodsky, Isabella Lazzaro, Jonathan Brodsky, and Andrew Lazzaro, her three sisters Puri, Rosario "Charro", and Maria Isabel Guerrero Sanchez. There are an incredible number of family members abroad and state side who were touched by Feli. She will be met in heaven by her beloved late daughter, Jennifer Marie Ravida, late husband, Walter "Woody" Woods, parents; Paulino Guerrero Domininguez and Margarita Sanchez Garcia, and brother; Jose Guerrero Sanchez.
