Christobal James Sheppard

Christobal “Jerry” J. Sheppard, a resident of Bowie, Maryland, passed

away unexpectedly on October 22, 2021. He was born on July 31, 1945 to

the late O’Dail (nee Cabezas) and George J. Sheppard (deceased). He

is survived by his brother, Roger G. Sheppard and his wife Diane and

his sister Pauletta (Sheppard) Riley and her husband Mark. Also by

his nieces and nephews; Brendan Riley (Cindy), Brian Sheppard, Emily

Riley and Katlyn Williams (Phil) . He lost his other nephew, Michael

Sheppard, and longtime companion, Patti East.

In 1963, Jerry graduated from Bladensburg High School and joined the

US Air Force which he served for four years. Upon an honorable

discharge, Jerry worked for the GPO for the next 33 years, retiring in

2000. Jerry was an avid photographer who photographed many weddings

and other special events. He also enjoyed hand dancing and was a part

time real estate agent.

There will be a graveside service at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, 3401

Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, MD, November 10, 2021 at 12:30 pm

immediately followed by a celebration of life at the American Legion

Post 136, 6900 Greenbelt Road, Greenbelt, MD from 2:00 to 4:00pm.
