Carlos Manuel Casanova

On Thursday, February 15, 2024 Carlos Manuel Casanova age 90  of Germantown, MD died peacefully with his family at his side at Holy Cross Hospital, Germantown, MD. Born on April 19. 1933 in Havana, Cuba to the late Valentin and Celia (nee Lago) Casanova. Having earned a Bachelor's Degree, he served as a military pilot in the Air Force of Cuba. After coming to the United States, he was also a master paratrooper at Fort Benning, GA and San Antonio, TX. Throughout his life he enjoyed reading. He was a devoted Catholic. 

Beloved husband of Maria Carmen (nee Rodriguez) Casanova. Loving father of Gustavo Casanova of Germantown, MD, Mauricio Casanova and his wife Monica of Tampa, FL and Freya Casanova of Germantown, MD. Devoted grandfather of Miranda, Valerie, Nadya, Veronica, Julia, Azriel and Branson.  He will also be missed by many others whose lives he touched. 

Services will be held at a later date.
