Bharath Kumar Polimati

Bharath Kumar Polimati, age 74, was called to glory on August 30th, 2023, in Maryland, USA. He is survived by his beloved wife, K.E.S. Usha Rani, two sons Sujay Kumar Polimati and Suhas Kumar Polimati and their spouses Asmitha and Tabitha including 3 grandchildren Ariel (14yrs), Jayden (12yrs) and Nirel (9yrs).

Bharath Kumar was born in Akividu, Andhra Pradesh, India on November 27th, 1949, to P.D. Asirvatham and Suvarna Bai. He was the youngest son of 4 siblings preceded by 1 older brother Mr. Anand Kumar, 2 older sisters Mrs. Chitra Rao and Mrs. Aruna Rao, and has a younger sister Dr. Nalini Hickson. He completed his studies from the first batch of Sainik School Korukonda, Vijayanagaram and graduated from Vivek Vardhini college in Hyderabad. On May 26th, 1977, he married K.E.S Usha Rani and settled down in Hyderabad amidst a host of friends and relatives.

Bharath Kumar worked in State Bank of Hyderabad where he retired as a Deputy manager in 2009. Alongside work, he was an avid lover of martial arts, winning many awards at State and National level in Karate and Body Building. He was a black belt 4Th Dan (rank) in Karate and was as national judge for several body building competitions. Most notable of his accomplishments are that he won the titles of Mr. Hyderabad, Mr. Telangana, Mr. Madras, Mr. Osmania University, Mr. South India in body building and acted alongside Telugu star NTR in the climax scenes of the movie "Yugapurushudu". He was as much a spiritual man and involved actively in church activities. He served in Baptish Church Dilsukhnagar as youth director, president, treasurer and secretary and holds a bachelor's degree in theology from ACTC Hyderabad, 2009.

A devoted husband, a loving father, a doting grandfather, a caring brother and a wonderful uncle who loved simple things in life and whose thoughtful gestures remain as profound memories in our lives. He will be deeply missed by friends, family, host of cousins, nephews, nieces and all who knew him.
