Bernice Pumphrey

On Tuesday, January 25, 2022 Bernice McCallister Pumphrey died quietly at her home in Gaithersburg, MD. Born on November 27, 1949 in Maryland to Algie McCallister and Ella Hall. Beloved wife of the late Robert Pumphrey. Having completed her education she devoted herself to being a homemaker for her spouse and family. Devoted mother of George Edward McCallister of Silver Spring, MD, James Stanley McCallister of Silver Spring, MD, Ricky Ricardo Keys (Dominique) of Hagerstown, MD and Eddie Nathaniel Green of Germantown, MD. She was also a devoted grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed by both family and friends. On Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 10 until 11 am a Visitation will take place at Norbeck Community Church, Silver Spring, MD; with a Funeral Service following at 11:00 am. Interment is at 2:00 pm, Monday, February 7, 2022, at Ash Memorial Cemetery, Sandy Spring, MD.
