Aiendequi Florinda Mawana

Our family sadly and unexpectedly lost a loving, devoted, vibrant, gentle soul on Friday June 24, 2022. Florinda Mawana, was only 37 years of age.

Florinda was born on April 15th,1985 in Luanda, Angola. She moved to the USA at the tender age of 3 and has since devoted her entire life here in the states. She was a licensed nurse who cared deeply for her patients. Through the years and stages of her life she was never afraid to test the waters and try new things.
Florinda was extremely business savvy and what didn’t she do?! She was a rounded artist and creative who loved dancing and painting. She believed that we could do anything we put our minds to and that nothing was ever impossible.

Florinda was a committed daughter, an amazing, loyal sister, a caring, compassionate cousin, and mostly a loving and devoted aunt. Her selflessness and unconditional love for family and friends was unmatched. She was a silly soul who thrived on laughter. She was affectionate and loved hugs, whether she was offering or receiving them.

Her impact on this earth will forever live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with as well as those she reached, but never met. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation, Friday, July 8 from 12 Noon to 4:00 pm at Thibadeau Mortuary Chapel, 124 E Diamond Ave, Gaithersburg, MD 20877. Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, July 9, 11:00 am at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 9000 Warfield Rd, Gaithersburg, MD 20882. Interment, All Souls Cemetery, Germantown, MD. The family will host a repass to honor Florina's memory and celebrate her life on Saturday, July 9 from 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm at Evolve Danz, 15237 Display Ct, Rockville, MD 20850.
